INTERNATIONAL PRIDE AWARDS
Recognizing LGBTIQ+ equality heroes
All countries are obligated to promote and protect the human rights of all persons without discrimination.
Yet hundreds of millions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) people still face discrimination, rejection, poverty, violence, prison, torture and even death - just for being who they are.
The International Pride Awards seeks to shine a light on the work of brave and visionary equality heroes, to tell their stories, and to inspire more people to advocate for equality.
At a ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa, on 13 November 2024 we will recognize the incredible work of five LGBTIQ+ equality heroes from around the world who are making a difference.
No matter our differences, we all want to live in a world where we feel safe and thrive. But for many LGBTIQ+ people, that’s still very far away - because of the discrimination, stigma and violence they face every day.
