- The person or organization being nominated (the nominee) must meet the published criteria, as outlined on the Nominations page of the website.
- The person making the nomination (the nominator) must meet the criteria, as outlined on the Nominations page of the website.
- The nomination must meet the General Nomination Criteria as outlined on the Nominations page of the website.
- The nominator warrants that the information they provide is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
- The nominator should select the most appropriate award category for the nominee; however, the Awards Committee and International Pride Awards team reserve the right to move a nominee to another category if they feel it is more appropriate.
- A nominator may make more than one nomination for different people or organizations and should complete a separate online form for each. There is no need to nominate the same person or organization more than once.
- The International Pride Awards team will seek to verify the information submitted in nomination forms.
- The nominator agrees to cooperate with the International Pride Awards team to verify the nomination and provide further information as may be required.
- The Awards Committee and International Pride Awards will not publicly reveal names of nominees or other information about individual nominations.
- Awardees' names will be made public only with the express consent of the recipient.
- We take the safety and security of nominees and awardees very seriously. The nominator should indicate in their submission if they believe there may be a risk to the nominee’s safety if their identity were to be revealed publicly as a nominee or as an awardee. There are procedures in place to protect the identity of nominees once information is entered into the nomination form on the website. We will work with all International Pride Awards awardees on their safety and security; if an awardee is or feels at risk, we will work with them to establish the best way of protecting their identity.
- The Awards Committee will base their decisions on the evaluation criteria described on the International Pride Awards website, using information provided by the nominee as well as other information from the International Pride Awards team’s research and other sources.
- Awardees will be selected on the evaluation criteria, not on the number of nominations they receive.
- Awardees will be announced on 5 August 2026 at an event which is part of WorldPride in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
- The decision of the Awards Committee is final, and no correspondence regarding their decisions can be entered into.
- Awardees from low- and middle-income countries (as defined here) will be eligible for a US$10,000 bursary, via an affiliated organization if an individual awardee, for the purpose of sustaining and expanding their equality work - subject to ILGA World diligence process and reporting requirements.
- By submitting a nomination, the nominator agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
- UNDP and ILGA World reserve the right to vary the International Pride Awards nomination Terms & Conditions and criteria from time to time, and any updates will be published on the International Pride Awards website.
- Data collected in the process of submitting and administering a nomination will be used solely for the purpose of administering the awards process, and for no other purpose.
- The International Pride Awards website is hosted on servers located within the European Union. Personal data collected through the nomination and awards process will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
